Old Business

The Club has 21 paid family memberships and 3 approved non-paying memberships including 2 members who joined in the last third of 2018.  An updated membership roster was emailed out prior to the September meeting.  A reminder: photos of your favorite Mustang can be included with your roster listing on the Club website if you email the photo to Tom Ferguson or Frank Herbst.
The August 24th FRMC club event, a drive and picnic at the Buffalo Bill Museum and Grave on Lookout Mountain near Golden was well attended by the membership and guests from the Mustang Car Club of Colorado (MCCOC).
John and Cam McNurney’s Cars and Guitars Party in Lakewood on September 7th was its usual great time and several Club members attended the event including Art Apple, Chuck Warren, Tom and Jackie Ferguson, Gary and Jillian Spencer,  Gordie and Barb Kellogg and Larry Snodgrass.  Photos from the party have been posted to the FRMC website.  The following day was the All Ford Day at Sheridan High School and rumor has it that Art Apple, Chuck Warren and Larry Snodgrass were there drumming up potential Club members.
Tom Ferguson polled the membership for interest in ordering FRMC polo shirts of the same style and make as last year’s batch.  So far, seven members have requested the new shirts and Tom will place the order with Instant Imprints by the end of September.  If anyone else wants a shirt contact Tom before then.  Also, we have two older Club shirts dating back to the MCA National Show FRMC hosted in July 2015 that have never been worn and are available for sale.  These shirts are navy blue, only come in size large, and are priced at just $20.
As always, we have a large supply of club jacket patches for sale at $5.00 and magnetic name tags can be ordered at $12.00/tag.

New Business

Former FRMC member Dan Ryhal and Cathy Wagner have offered to host a BBQ and Club Meeting at their mountain home on Sunday October 6th at 12 pm.  Their address is 15737 Pine Valley Road in Pine, Colorado 80470 which is just west of Conifer off Highway 285.  Their phone number is 303-238-5394.  Dan and Cathy will provide hamburgers and brats and members are asked to bring side dishes such as baked beans, chips, potato salad, cole slaw, pickles, olives, relish, pop, or a dessert.  Larry Snodgrass has volunteered to bring buns and some  pop.  Note:  This will take the place of our usual Club Meeting on the second Friday of the month and members are encouraged to scope out the Fall Foliage on the drive up or after the BBQ and Meeting conclude.  The Broncos are on the road playing a late game against the Chargers in LA that day so there is minimal conflict there.  We are requesting that members RSVP to Tom Ferguson if they plan on attending the BBQ so we can get an accurate headcount for the food.
Starting in November, the Club will switch the monthly meeting day to the morning of the second Saturday of the month as has been our custom in the past since the Summer/Fall car show schedule tails off.  We need suggestions for a Saturday meeting location as McCoy’s can’t accommodate us during breakfast hours and our former spot, The Garrison Street Grill has switched ownership, name, and hours.
The following list represents upcoming club events.  Times and dates will be determined closer to the events based on club input and site availability.
October  6 – FRMC BBQ and Club Meeting at Dan Ryhal’s residence in Pine, CO.  Fall Foliage Cruise to follow the BBQ and Meeting.  See above under New Business for details and RSVP to Tom Ferguson.
October 13 – FRMC Chili-Feed at Belleview Park, 5001 S Inca Drive, Englewood.
November – Club movie outing to see Ford versus Ferrari.
December 7 – FRMC Holiday Party, 2:30 pm at Mickey’s Top Sirloin, 6950 Broadway, Denver
Other upcoming events of interest, with details posted on the FRMC website Bullett-n Board where possible, include:
September 14 – St. Jude’s 5th Annual Benefit Car Show, Landmark Lincoln, Littleton, CO. Info cruisinproductions.com
September 28 – First Annual Northern Colorado Stangtoberfest in Fort Collins.  Info at www.mustangccofc.com or call Michael Nowlin at 206-602-4873.
October 5 – Open Track Day at High Plains Raceway sponsored by SAAC Colorado.
If you’d like an event you are interested in posted to the website Bullett-n Board, bring an informational flyer to an upcoming Club meeting.
The meeting concluded around 9 pm.  The next Club meeting will be held on Sunday, October 6th in Pine Junction, Colorado as described above under New Business.

Treasurer's Report

The Club had $1,410.73 in the checking account with Vectra Bank as of the meeting date.  This is a slight increase over the previous month reflecting member dues from our newest member, Chuck Warren, and 50/50 receipts partially offset by Colorado registration fees and a payment for Chuck’s name tag that was reimbursed during the September Club meeting.

MCA Report

Board of Director elections close September 30.  Ballots were emailed to the MCA membership so the election could be carried-out on-line.  Larry Standiford will be attending the Regional Director Summit in Las Vegas October 11-13.  Note: The national MCA website has been redesigned and members will have to reset their MCA Member password by requesting a new password during login to the site.
